What Is This Program About?
Cultural Bond is designed for newcomers, offering
captivating sightseeing tours with Torontonians. Participants will explore
diverse museums and art exhibitions and take part in social events.
Who Should Join This Program?
Newcomers interested in expanding their knowledge of
Canadian culture, history, and traditions through guided museum visits, art
exhibitions, and interactive educational experiences should join this program.
Engaging in these activities and learning from knowledgeable guides will help
participants deepen their understanding of their new home and feel more
connected to their community.
When & Where Does the Program Take Place?
Saturday 2 PM to 7 PM, focusing on one landmark at a
time. After the tour, newcomers will enjoy dinner, local cuisine, and
socializing with their peers.
What to Expect in the Program?
Our volunteers lead all guided tours, which occur
weekly on Saturdays in downtown Toronto. Newcomers will visit impressive and
beautiful places, creating memorable moments. Sites include the CN Tower,
Little Canada, the Aquarium, ROM Museum, Art Gallery of Ontario, Lawrence
Market, Kensington Market, and the Distillery District.
After the cultural tour, newcomers will be taken for
dinner to enjoy local cuisine and socialize with their peer.
